There’s nothing better than spending the holidays in Michigan with family and friends, except getting to capture the moments with them. We had a great indoor and outdoor session (brrr!) on the shores of Gourdneck Lake – from boathouse backdrops to playing with pirates – many thanks to the Czupryn and Martin families for sharing their holiday with us.
Hello! My name is Mike Luong and to know me is to find my camera never far and my eyes dialing in the world from a len's perspective. I enjoy capturing the moments, the moods, the momentous occasions that define each and every photo shoot - and the people and stories behind them. I hope you enjoy my galleries and they inspire you to share YOUR stories and occasions with me.

I spent Saturday afternoon with the Richards family. It didn’t take me too long to realize that this family was no stranger to the camera. Tracie and Jeff share three adorable girls: Ava, Gia, and Lola. The girls were all color co-ordinated and have obviously practised their super model poses.
We walked through Gilman Village in Issaquah which provided a variety of backdrops – from the beautiful store fronts to the great fall colors of the woods. To reward everyone for being such great models, we ended the day at Issaquah Coffee Company for hot chocolate and coffee.
The Beckers and I have been planning a shoot for the last several weeks. We thought it would be fun to get outside and capture some of the beautiful colors of autumn in Seattle. But as we all know, Seattle weather doesn’t always seem to co-operate. So we opted to duck into the studio for the family portraits instead. When the music came on, a dance party erupted. Desiree and Jared have two such adorable children; Brock and Giselle are full of personality and it didn’t take long for them to break out of their initial camera shyness and have fun in front of the lens.
This portrait session for the Pegarido family was the perfect opportunity to capture all things Seattle before their move across the Pacific to tropical Hawaii. Noe and Jen highlighted their favorite spots in West Seattle and we enjoyed capturing moments with Nick, Maya and Cocoa in each location. From skipping stones and gathering seashells on Alkai Beach to jumping over the skyline on the Harbor Avenue waterfront, it was such a fun day of exploration with great friends.
